SSW Visa – Specified Skilled Worker in Japan
The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) is a residence status that allows foreign workers to work in Japan in designated industrial fields. It is designed for people who have the required skills and Japanese language ability to work in Japan.
There are different SSW fields, including Nursing Care, Food Service, Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Construction, Agriculture, Building Cleaning, Accommodation, and other designated sectors.
Main Requirements
* Pass the required Japanese language test, such as JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or above, depending on the field and current requirements.
* Pass the relevant SSW Skills Test.
* Meet the required age and other eligibility conditions.
* Receive a job offer from a suitable employer in Japan.
* Complete the required residence and visa procedures.
